My New Church

The Cross Roads Paintings

Growing up in a small Midwestern town, in the 60's, we were encouraged to attend church. There were 5 Catholic churches, and 7 of other denominations in our town of 20,000 people. There were also 52 bars, most of them well attended on Sunday too. You've got to find your faith where it's hiding.

The opportunity to present these crosses in an icon of an old tavern like the Rite Spot was a vision straight from the source. They are paintings inspired by the loss of sanctuary, and faith in our lives. Hopefully, they could offer a mystical, cautionary, or even comforting tale for the viewer. Don't Worry Be Curious.
